senior girl

I've been wanting to share this senior girls' pics for a while - isn't she pretty?
I had so much fun setting up the "set" in this old house... took us hours didn't it?

How Sweet it is!

My boys come into the studio every once in a while and, of course, always find the candy. This particular bucket of goodies is fair game, as long as they leave the giant heart-shaped suckers alone! (They are reserved for my Valentine's Special next weekend Jan. 24). Of course that makes the boys want them even more. Hopefully I won't have any suckers left but if I do, you can bet I'll have three very happy boys when the 25th rolls around!

Frosty

So January has been, well, January: Cold. Frozen. Let's face it, January has just been unwelcome by almost all of us. This picture is a view from my window and I'm tired of seeing it!
But now is the time to think ahead - February is just around the corner and what could be better than the month of Love! I'm offering mini sessions on Jan. 24 - don't miss out on this chance to get a cute picture of your babe for Valentine's Day! Limited slots available.

A Couple of Cowboys!

These two are typical brothers: polar opposites. But they do have one thing in common: cute as buttons in their wranglers!
I am still proofing this session but had to share this shot. Makes me want to have another baby!

Valentine's Day Special!

Some information on my Valentine's Day Special Jan. 24

A kiss and a family

This family silhouette was the first time I had tried this type of shot. I hope to do more this summer and fall. I just love this family having known them since they were a family of three!

I love engagement pictures. I do them for all of my wedding couples as a way to work with them before the big day. The session this shot was from was for family - I am not shooting their wedding, but did the engagements shots for them for fun. She is going to be one beautiful bride and this shot is one of my favorites from their session!

Two more favorites of '08

Here are a couple more of my favorites of '08. Grooms always seem to get the raw deal at a wedding - after all, it is all about the girl and the dress! - so when I'm shooting a wedding I try to spend some time with him, to capture a side of him on his day. This groom was a hoot the entire day but this relaxed shot is one of my all time favorite wedding pictures.
And this brother and sister combo are always easy to work with. This picture just oozes sibling love doesn't it?

Out with the old

2008 was an eventful year here at Tailfeather Productions. So eventful I hardly had time to blog. 2009 will be different. I hope to use this blog to keep everyone updated with what's going on at my new studio at 10 7th Ave., Webster. I thought I'd post my favorite eight shots of 2008 but when I started reviewing my files, I had a really hard time narrowing it down to just eight. So this week I hope to post a few of my favorite 2008 shots each day. I also have a Valentine's Day idea floating around in my head (so it's not a new idea, I've tried it before, but I'm hoping this year it takes off!) and then there's the "sports" idea floating around up there trying to take form... I'm hoping I can get this fun idea going as well (think mini-Bearcats... Dragons... Vikings... whatever your team mascot is!)
But for now, here are a few of my favorite '08 shots.
Happy New Year!
